Why Early Learning and After School Programs?

It’s not just families and children who will be eligible for coverage. Many child-care and after-school workers will be able to enroll for coverage through Covered California and Medi-Cal. With the majority of after-school workers being part-time and uninsured, (most full-time after-school workers make between $30,000 and $40,000 a year), after-school workers can benefit disproportionately from the ACA and Medi-Cal changes.
